Established in October 1994 Awlwood Joinery is a family run Joinery business operating from it's North Devon workshop in Yelland, between Bideford and Barnstaple. Run by father and son team Ian and David Wray, they employ a team of skilled woodcraftsmen in their well equipped workshop.

We offer a comprehensive service from initial visit to complete design manufacture, installation and decoration plus building works where required.

British Woodworking Federation

As members of the British Woodworking Federation we are required to comply with their strict code of conduct ensuring that we offer excellent service to our customers. All members are committed to the BWF Code of Conduct, demonstrating they are dedicated to a higher level of quality and professionalism.

The standard set by the Code of Conduct was developed in consultation with the members themselves to reflect the requirements of legislation and acknowledged best practice.
 
We also have a continuous programme of training both from external sources and 'in house' to ensure that we keep pace with change and comply with all of the latest legislation. We are particularly proud of the success of our apprentices over the years.

FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme. It has been set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies with Government encouragement in response to the current Building Regulations for England and Wales.

As members of Fensa we are able to offer certification to our customers to confirm that windows and doors that we supply and install comply with current building regulations, we are regularly checked by the British Board of Agrement to ensure that we adhere to the rules.
